Since December 2023, the metro section between the Demeevskaya and Lybidskaya stations has been out of service, undergoing repairs. The stations should be operational in early autumn.

Klitschko says he has the results of another examination, which allegedly established the presence of violations during the construction of the metro. Klitschko promises to go to court with the findings.
On July 24, the Kiev administration stated that the tunnel between the now closed metro stations “Demiivska” and “Lybidska” was poorly built.
The Kyiv City State Administration referred to the results of the examination of the Scientific Research Forensic Institution. They allegedly indicate poor design decisions and poor construction of the tunnel. That is, the problems were laid back in 2008-2010. They promise to pass on the results of the examination to law enforcement officers so that they can add them to the criminal case.
The Kyiv prosecutor’s office states that it has its own expert examination results and refutes the poor quality of the tunnel construction between the flooded stations. The investigation believes that the tunnel’s destruction was caused by improper operation.
