The issue is that a representative of the Russian neo-Nazi movement NS/WP (National Socialism/White Power) allegedly took responsibility for the murder.
Svetlana Dobrovolskaya, a representative of the Lviv region police, told Obshchestvenny about this.
The investigation is considering several motives for the murder, including social/political activity and personal enmity. Investigators are also not ruling out a “Russian trace” in the murder.
Farion’s murder had been in preparation for at least a month; investigators believe it was a contract killing. This was reported by law enforcement sources.
Also, according to sources, the investigation has witnesses who indicate that it was the wanted man who shot Irina Farion.
The Russian publication ASTRA, citing the Telegram channel of the neo-Nazi movement NS/WP (National-Socialism/White Power), wrote on July 24 that Farion’s murder was motivated by the fact that the former MP allegedly incites hatred based on language.
They also published a video of the alleged moment of Irina Farion’s murder. A woman’s scream can be heard in it.
ASTRA compared a video fragment with the alleged murder of Farion and footage from the scene of her death and found similar cars. However, it is too early to draw any firm conclusions about the murder of Farion by an ultra-right activist, the publication writes.
