The Ukrainian campaign to organize power units in 2024 will be more ambitious than last year.
Ukraine is actively restoring its energy network and generation. Energy Minister German Galushchenko said this at a briefing on Wednesday, July 24.
“The repair campaign is underway, and this year it is even bigger than last year. We said that last year the largest campaign in the history of Ukraine was actually carried out – we added 3.3 gigawatts of destroyed generation in last year will be higher,” said the minister.
He noted that repairs are going on around the clock.
“We already have results, but for security reasons it is impossible to determine the level of restoration of the Ukrainian generation,” he explained.
We remind you that Ukraine, with the help of partners, intends to build up to 1 gigawatt of gas-fired maneuverable generation by 2024 and another 4 gigawatts in the coming years.
Earlier, Galushchenko said that as a result of Russia’s continued occupation, the situation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is deteriorating and after it returns to Ukrainian control, it will take years to resume and restart it.
