The likely Democratic nominee compared his experience as a former prosecutor to Trump’s record as a convicted felon.
In her first campaign rally on Tuesday, July 23, current US Vice President Kamala Harris sharply criticized Republican candidate Donald Trump, Reuters reports.
Notably, in a 17-minute speech to an audience of thousands at a high school in the suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Harris compared the former prosecutor’s experience to Trump’s record as a convicted felon.
He listed the priorities of his agenda, saying that if elected he would expand access to abortion, make it easier for workers to join unions and fight gun violence, which is in stark contrast to the Trump will talk.
“Donald Trump wants to take our country back,” he said “Do we want to live in a country of freedom, compassion and the rule of law, or a country of chaos, fear and hatred?”
Harris also said he would focus on the middle class during his eventual presidency.
“When our middle class is strong, America is strong,” she said.
Let’s remember that the day before Harris spoke for the first time in front of his headquarters, where he said how he would fight Trump.
