Society must agree to temporarily give up a whole range of freedoms in order to survive. Modern wars are, unfortunately, total. They require the efforts of not only the army, but also society as a whole. Politicians can and should mobilize society. For this, the military and other resources of the state are comprehensively involved, – said the Ukrainian Ambassador to Great Britain.
Zaluzhny’s other main points are as follows:
The experience of our struggle will be useful to all who seek the path to peace. If you want peace, prepare for war. Evil is near, and it has come to kill.
Free and democratic nations and their governments must wake up and think about how to protect their citizens and their countries.
We are ready to share all our knowledge, experience and thoughts with those who did not leave Ukraine in difficult times and who are looking for peace and tranquility for their people.
Preparedness for war should be viewed as a huge complex of measures, covering not only purely military aspects, but also all areas of state activity.
Modern wars are, unfortunately, total. They require the efforts of not only the army, but also society as a whole.
Politicians can and should mobilize society. For this purpose, the military and other state resources are used in a complex manner.
Readiness for war will be determined not only by the readiness of the army to repel aggression, but also by the readiness of society to confront the enemy.
War is the maximum concentration of forces for survival. And only for this!
When, on a global scale, the war in Ukraine shapes domestic politics in other countries, which is used by enemies for their own purposes.
The war for freedom in one country must become the policy of survival of democracy in other free countries.
A democratic army, an army of a free society, always finds it difficult to fight against the army of a feudal lord.
The enemy considers democracy to be our greatest weakness and is trying to exploit it with all his might.
Fakes, lies, devaluation of national interests, despondency in the leadership – this is an incomplete list of the means that Russians have been using for more than 10 years, and democratic societies still have not found methods to counter them.
Now we must realize that it is up to us, Ukrainians, whether we will live and whether our children will have a future.
With the lives of ordinary Ukrainians we won our chance to win. It cost us dearly – many lives of the best sons and daughters.
Recently, it can be said that unmanned systems are the main reason for changes in strategies, forms and methods of application. Today, the concept of a new warfare strategy must include a broader concept – technology.
The warring parties have temporarily stopped searching for new weapons, while it would be appropriate to search for new forms of application of the latest technologies, which should lead to changes in the structure of units, parts and the Armed Forces as a whole. It is precisely this movement that is scientific and justified.
Today we have invented a way to fight and win against the strongest armies in the 21st century. It is technology that must ensure the stability of the Ukrainian nation.
The Russian-Ukrainian war is not yet the war of the future. It is only a war of the transitional period. But it is our war that is forming new rules.
War is resources and time. If we consider technologies as resources, then today neither Ukraine nor Russia will be able to master them independently in the near future. Therefore, the only way out is to increase the amount of human resources involved in military operations.
Technologies will wait for those who are brave and capable of mastering them. Whoever masters them will decide the issues of global security.
Tyrants will need war constantly for internal use as a tool to maintain power. The rest must build a reliable defense against them.
It is in Ukraine that they find ways to survive and create technologies. But for obvious reasons they cannot scale them up.
Our partners have resources, but there is no applied and practical field for testing them. Only together can we effectively use the resource, because time is not working for us.
Following yesterday’s rules of war will not lead to success today or tomorrow. It is the realization of this that can save many lives. We must begin to deal with the consequences of the new rules of war.
Otherwise we will all die.
