The Polish Foreign Minister stressed that protecting children’s cancer hospitals is not an increase.
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski called on European Union countries to lift restrictions on Ukraine’s use of long-range weapons provided to it. He said this at a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels, RAR reports.
According to Sikorsky, Ukraine can prevent Russian attacks, such as the recent shelling of Okhmatdyt in Kyiv, by destroying aircraft that fire cruise missiles and attacking the airports where they fly.
“This will be complete self-defense, which is legal under international law. Protecting children’s cancer hospitals is not an increase,” said the Polish minister.
In addition, Sikorsky called for the strengthening of sanctions against Russia and the use of Russian assets by the end of the year for a loan that would allow Ukraine to operate and also purchase weapons.
As we have already written, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg believes that Ukraine has the right to use weapons provided by its allies to strike legitimate military targets on Russian territory.
Partners drag their feet: when will Ukraine be able to strike the Russian Federation?
