The American leader proposed to nominate Kamala Harris as the candidate of the Democratic Party for the presidential election.
US President Joe Biden, after withdrawing his election candidacy, endorsed Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate. He announced this on the social network X on Sunday, July 21.
Biden, who was elected as the Democratic presidential candidate, addressed his fellow party members.
“My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on serving as President for the remainder of my term,” the politician said.
Biden said he was glad he picked Kamala Harris as vice president four years ago during the election race.
“This is the best decision I have ever made. Now I want to offer my full support and endorsement to Kamala as our party’s nominee this year,” added the President of the United States.
Let’s remember that on July 21, Biden announced the withdrawal of his candidacy for the presidential election.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is predicting that the Democratic Party will nominate Kamala Harris next. According to him, he is “easier to beat than Biden.”
