A memo from Texas Congressman Ronny Jackson, who served as the White House physician during Trump’s presidency, provides new details about the Republican candidate’s injuries and the treatment he received immediately after the attack, Voice of America reports.
Jackson said Trump was shot in the right ear with a high-powered rifle, with the bullet passing “less than a quarter of an inch from entering the head and entering the upper right ear.”
The bullet hole, the report says, “created a 2 cm wide wound that penetrated the cartilaginous surface of the ear. At first there was significant bleeding, and then swelling of the entire upper part of the ear was pronounced.”
Although the swelling has gone down and the wound has begun to heal properly, Jackson said Trump has been bleeding intermittently and needs a bandage. The bandage was visible at the Republican National Convention last week.
