The Armed Forces of Ukraine approved a list of medical care that must be provided by military personnel with different levels of training. The press service of the ministry announced the new standards of the Ministry of Defense on Saturday, July 20.

“Establishing the volume of pre-medical care is a very important step, which preceded a lot of work with Western partners, combat medics and representatives of specialized public organizations,” emphasized the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Natalya Kalmykova and added that the General Staff, representatives of the species, individual branches of the troops (forces), as well as other parts of the defense forces.

As the Ministry of Defense clarified, the document introduced a division of medical care into four levels. The new standards establish a list of skills and interventions that military personnel must use to help victims. There is also a list of medications that can help.
At the same time, the head of the Department of Health of the Ministry of Defense, Oksana Sukhorukova, is convinced that based on this document, the department will develop a modern and effective system for maintaining the life and health of military personnel at the front . He added that the amount of medical care provided will make it possible to develop consistent training standards and common training programs in tactical medicine.
