Russia has been reporting drone strikes in this area almost every day or two lately.
Russia’s Rostov region on Saturday night was attacked by more than ten drones, allegedly shot down by air defense. The governor of the region, Vasily Golubev, announced this on Saturday, July 20, in his Telegram.
He wrote that the Russian military “repelled a massive air attack.”
According to a Russian official, in the north of the region, air defense systems allegedly “destroyed more than ten UAVs.”
The governor claimed that “there were no casualties” as a result of the incident and added that “information about the consequences on the ground is being clarified.”
The Ukrainian side did not comment on this statement.
The last time the Rostov region was on fire was on the night of July 16. As the governor reported at the time, Russian air defenses allegedly destroyed nine drones.
Russian propagandists announced the “creation of special protection against drones” for the cars of officials and businessmen. The special protection supposedly “disguises itself as a car box” – a removable rack on the roof of the car.
A state-owned company from Poznan sold parts for Iranian Shahed 136 combat drones.
