US President Joe Biden has tested positive for the coronavirus. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced this on Wednesday, July 17.
According to him, Biden felt the first symptoms when he arrived in Las Vegas, where he was supposed to speak at a conference.
“Biden received his booster vaccine and has mild symptoms. He is traveling to Delaware where he will quarantine at home and continue to perform all his duties during this time,” Jean-Pierre said.
He added that the White House will provide regular updates on the status of the US President as he continues to carry out all his duties during the lockdown.
