On Wednesday, November 17, the head of state signed a decree that puts into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council regarding the new Maritime Security Strategy of Ukraine. This document takes into account the changes and innovations in security that the state has ensured, in particular, in the Black Sea and in the development of Ukrainian forces. The head of state reported this in his evening address.
According to him, this is a modern strategy and is being implemented together with Western partners. Zelensky added that he intends to discuss the details of this strategy with his allies in the near future.
Zelensky added that the government is working to ensure that “this week becomes truly productive in relations with our partners.” He noted that today he held a meeting with the foreign policy team of the President’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
We need strong decisions from partners that will put this war on course for a just end. And I thank everyone who demonstrates the appropriate leadership – honest leadership,” the president noted.
Recall that the Ukrainian Navy reported that Russia withdrew all Black Sea Fleet patrol ships from occupied Crimea. The last enemy ship of this type left the annexed peninsula on Monday, July 15.
