The Kupyansk direction remains as difficult as the Kharkiv one. The authorities are recording even more combat clashes and enemy attempts to storm the positions of the Defense Forces in the Kupyansk direction. This was stated by the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration Oleg Sinegubov, Ukrinform reports.
Last night the enemy once again destroyed the crossing over the Oskol River. Now we will take all measures to restore and rebuild it, this is, unfortunately, a typical situation for us, – he noted.
According to him, the Russians are showing that this section of the front remains fundamental for the Russians. Previously, the enemy was using guided bombs, but now it has hit with an X-type cruise missile.
Therefore, we understand that this goal is a priority for the enemy. In combination with the intensification of assaults, the destruction of crossings, the Kupyansk direction remains a priority for the enemy, – the head of the OVA said.
Sinegubov emphasized that the crossing will be restored, since it is used, among other things, for evacuation.
Let us recall that on June 2, Ukrainian border guards from the “Revenge” brigade used drones to carry out precise strikes on positions on the logistics routes of Russian invaders in the Kharkiv region. In particular, the crossing over the Vilshana River was destroyed and the logistical capabilities of the occupiers were complicated.
