Ukrenergo reveals a “complicated” outage schedule

On Thursday, in the regions of Ukraine, hourly power outage schedules will be in effect throughout the day. Four lines were simultaneously shut down within six hours, it was reported Ukrainergo on Wednesday, July 17th.

So, from 00:00 to 5:00 there will be two queues of closures. From 5:00 to 16:00 and from 22:00 to 24:00 there are three queues.

The biggest restrictions will apply in the period from 16:00 to 22:00 – the regional power companies will use four periods of closure. This means that up to 70% of consumers will be disconnected at the same time.

In the past, energy experts predicted that July would be the most difficult period for the Ukrainian energy system. Currently, nuclear power plants are undergoing scheduled maintenance.

In this regard, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced that the duration of the outages will soon be reduced.
