The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased to 41.65 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate increased to 45.45 Hryvnia.
The exchange rate of the hryvnia fell significantly against the dollar and the euro at the exchange offices. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with market monitoring data on Wednesday, July 17.
Thus, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased by 15 kopecks to UAH 41.65, and the euro exchange rate also increased by 15 kopecks to UAH 45.45.
Today, exchange offices bought dollars on average for 41.15 UAH, euros for 44.75 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 41.30-41.33 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 1 kopeck compared to the previous day’s close.
The previous day, the National Bank of Ukraine raised the dollar to hryvnia exchange rate to another historic high – UAH 41.2575 (+0.2468 UAH). And the euro is worth 44.9789 UAH (+0.2526 UAH). This is also a new record.
We remind you that last week the NBU reduced the sale of foreign currency by 16% to $532 million. In total, since the beginning of the year, the regulator has sold $15.4 billion in the interbank market.
As you know, the Cabinet of Ministers predicts a further increase in the dollar exchange rate. According to the Budget Declaration, in 2025 the average exchange rate will increase by 10% to 45 UAH/dollar. At the same time, the budget for 2024 includes an average exchange rate of 40.7 UAH/dollar and 42.1 UAH/dollar in December.
It was also reported that the cash dollar exchange rate increased for the fourth consecutive month. In June, it increased by 1.7% to UAH 40.85.
