It was an old, but extremely dangerous rocket, designed in the 60s. Its warhead weighs 960 kilograms. The range of this missile is a maximum of 600 kilometers, according to an adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

At the site of the tragedy in Kremenchug, titanium fragments were found, possibly of an X-22 rocket. This was reported by the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko.

It was reported that the missile was fired yesterday from Tu-22M3 missile carriers from the territory of the Kursk region.

“It is an old, but very dangerous missile, designed in the 60s. The weight of its warhead is 960 kilograms. The range of this missile is a maximum of 600 kilometers. Therefore, it is fired at close range from on the border with Ukraine, “the report said.

Gerashchenko provides two options for conclusions from his observations.

“These are very old missiles. Either Putin has run out of high-precision missiles, or the target of shelling in Kremenchug is a deliberate strike on the civilian population. And this is the equivalent of terror and one of the most serious. war crimes, “the adviser to the minister wrote.

Recall, according to the latest data, 18 people died from the missile attack on the mall. In the morning, rescuers reported that they had disassembled fragments of building structures in 60% of the total area.

The leaders of the G7 countries and the UN representative condemned the missile attack on a civilian target and stressed the inevitable punishment for Russia’s military-political leadership.
