An equipment failure at one of Ukraine’s energy facilities occurred on the night of July 16.

The accident has increased the energy deficit in the system. Therefore, today four stages of shutdown schedules will be in effect throughout the day. Power engineers are already working on restoring and returning the equipment to operation. This was reported by the company “Ukrenergo”.
It is noted that at 10:00 power engineers gave the command to apply emergency shutdowns in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk and Kirovograd regions.
Recall that the regional DTEK reported that emergency shutdowns are being introduced in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions. In these regions, the hourly shutdown schedules are not in effect.
