Orbán met with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump last week to discuss “ways to bring peace.”
If he wins the election, US presidential candidate Donald Trump is immediately ready to mediate in peace negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced this on Monday, July 15, writes Bild.
“I can say with confidence that immediately after winning the election he will not wait for his inauguration, but will immediately be ready to act as a mediator of peace. He has detailed and well-founded plans for this,” said Orban.
He added that if Trump wins, the financial relationship between the EU and the US regarding support for Ukraine will change.
“I am more than convinced that in the event of a likely victory of President Trump, the financial burden between the US and the EU will change significantly in favor of the EU when it comes to financial support for Ukraine,” he added.
Let’s remember that the other day Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban met with former US President Donald Trump in Florida and discussed with him his “peace initiatives” to end the war in Ukraine.
