The Ministry of Defense made a statement about the misinterpretations of the provisions of the law on updating military registration data, which are distributed on social networks and media.
When updating data, passing a military medical commission is not required. It is necessary only after receiving a call to undergo VLK. This was announced on Sunday, July 14, by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to the ministry, Ukrainian law provides for certain types of military service: updating data and undergoing a medical examination to determine the level of suitability for military service.
“The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that when updating data, passing a military medical commission is not required passing a Military Medical Commission is required only after receiving a summons to undergo a medical commission of the military,” the department said.
The Director of the Department of Personnel Policy of the Ministry of Defense, Mark Andrusyak, explained that according to the law, updating the data of citizens is a separate type of military duty. “In addition, Article 21 of the law on mobilization and mobilization training provides a separate duty for citizens – to undergo a medical examination to determine the level of suitability for military service,” said Andrusyak .
We remind you that the Ministry of Defense emphasized that updating data for those liable for military service in Ukraine, which must be done before July 16, does not mean automatic mobilization.
