The UN predicts that the year 2084 will mark the highest level of humanity in this century, at 10.3 billion people.

The population of Ukraine will decrease by 2100, this is the conclusion reached by the UN.

The UN World Population Prospects 2024 report states that there were approximately 37 million people in Ukraine at the beginning of this year. But by 2100, the country’s population will drop to 15.3 million people.

The UN also predicts that in 2084 there will be the highest level of humanity in this century, namely 10.3 billion people. But by 2100 the number of people will decrease slightly – to 10.2 billion.

At the same time, according to the report, the average life expectancy is expected to gradually increase and at the end of the 21st century will be 81.7 years. Men will live an average of less than 80 years, and women about 84 years.

Let’s remember that population decline should be expected in any case, even if Ukraine returns migrants or attracts them from other states, says the director of the Institute of Demography and Social Research named MV Birds Ella Libanova .
