Trump himself said on the Truthsocial network that he was “shot by a bullet that went through the top of my right ear,” so he “knew right away that something was wrong.” Trump thanked the intelligence agencies for their prompt work. He also expressed his condolences to the family of the person killed at the rally and the family of another person who was seriously wounded. In his post, Trump confirmed the death of the shooter.
According to law enforcement, the shooter was a 20-year-old man from Pennsylvania. The motives for the attack have not yet been established. This was reported by the FBI, which led the investigation.
