President Vladimir Zelensky, as part of his visit to the United States, took part in a meeting of the National Governors Association. Zelensky also mentioned Ukraine’s needs for bomb shelters for educational institutions, air defense for the Defense Forces and power generation. Zelensky called on the governors of the American states to develop regional cooperation in the Ukrainian regions.
“We are grateful for the humanitarian aid and housing, especially for the people who lost it because of the shell business,” – he said.
In addition, the head of state spoke about the situation on the battlefield, Russia’s daily fear against Ukrainian civilian targets, critical and energy infrastructure. He also spoke about the recent Russian missile attack on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv.
“You should know that Russia attacks our schools, universities, hospitals every day. And that’s why the NATO summit is so important, to strengthen our air defense. We thank America and other partners. And the decision to transfer some additional defense systems is very important for us,” said Zelensky.
