In the city of St. Gallen in Switzerland, a man armed with a machete injured five people, including a pregnant woman and a child. Police said the suspect is a 34-year-old local resident. This was reported by AP on Friday, July 12.

According to eyewitnesses, the man in the house first attacked the pregnant woman. When his father rushed to help, he was injured. The attacker ran out into the street with a machete, where he wounded another woman with a three-month-old baby and a neighbor who stopped the attacker.

In the incident, the suspect also injured himself, police said.

Police say the suspect has serious psychological problems. Bouncing flammable liquids and gas cylinders were found in his apartment, prompting the evacuation of all neighbors due to the risk of an explosion.
