On Friday, July 12, a Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger airliner crashed in the Moscow region. It fell near Kolomna. There were no passengers on board the aircraft. Three people, who were members of the crew, died. This was reported by the Russian publication TASS, citing emergency services.
It is preliminarily known that this air crash occurred during a test flight after repairs.
According to Flightradar24, the plane was flying in circles and burning fuel. And the Baza Telegram channel writes that on the third circle, the plane’s crew sent a distress signal.
As is well known, there have been more than one accident involving an airplane in Russia over the past two years. And the number of incidents related to air transport safety has almost doubled. The Russian dictatorship claimed that “Western sanctions are ineffective.”
Let us recall that on June 11, a Russian Su-34 fighter crashed in the mountainous terrain of North Ossetia. The crew died. The preliminary cause of the air crash is a technical malfunction.
