The Belarusian Gayun monitoring group claims that the ruling regime of the Republic of Belarus intends to build two outposts on the border.
Belarus intends to build two border guards on the border with Ukraine and station units of Belarusian border guards there. The Belarusian Gayun monitoring group reports this on its Telegram channel.
The State Border Committee of Belarus plans to purchase “engineering services for the joint management of construction activities.”
A border outpost complex will be built in the village of Karpovka, Loevsky district. The Zastava (border guard unit) was created there in 2017. It guards the 29.5 km section of the border with Ukraine along the Sozh River.
The second border outpost complex, according to unofficial data, is planned to be built in the village of Svicha, Narovlya district. The outpost there will be built from scratch. He will be part of the Mozyr border detachment. This location for the construction was not chosen by chance, because in that place there is only one outpost of the Mozyr – Narovlya border detachment, the monitoring group suggests.
