The representatives will consider in the second reading the bill No. 4201, which provides for the abolition of the transition from summer to winter in Ukraine and vice versa. The first reading of the document took place in 2021.
In the plenary session next week, the Verkhovna Rada will consider in the second reading a draft law on the abolition of daylight saving time in Ukraine. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak informed this on Telegram on Thursday, July 11.
The document provides for the arrangement of the winter season.
According to the previous agenda, in the next plenary week, the Rada will consider in the second reading the bill No. 4201, which provides for the abolition of the transition from summer to winter in Ukraine and vice versa.
“This is a very good initiative; I will support it,” Zheleznyak emphasized.
Currently in Ukraine the clocks switch between summer and winter.
In particular, on the last Sunday of October the country switches to the winter season, the hands of the clock are moved back one hour. While on the last Sunday of March, daylight saving time occurs – clocks are moved forward one hour.
Let’s remember that on March 26, 2019, the European Parliament voted to abolish the seasonal clock change starting in 2021.
Ukraine then announced that they intended to do the same. In the first reading, the corresponding bill was voted on March 3, 2021.
