The aggressor country Russia refused to participate in the second Peace Summit. The corresponding statement was made by the Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, RIA Novosti reports on Thursday, July 11.
According to him, the location of the second summit has not yet been determined, but “the geography is not important, but the content is important, where everything is quite clear.”
Galuzin called the Peace Formula “a dead end and an ultimatum” and complained about the deliberate “ignoring of other initiatives” to end the war in Ukraine.
“This is another manifestation of fraud. We do not accept such ultimatums and we will not participate in such summits,” said Sergei Lavrov’s deputy.
As you know, on June 15-16, the first Peace Summit took place in Switzerland with the participation of 100 countries and international organizations.
Following its results, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said the second Peace Summit “will take place in months, not years” and will have Russian representatives. He believes the event could be held in the UAE or Saudi Arabia.
