The official lives in the Regent Hill residential complex in Kyiv, however, he did not indicate a select apartment in the declaration. Tracking the life of Alexander Udovichenko began precisely on the basis of journalistic material.
The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption began monitoring the lifestyle of Deputy Director of the State Bureau of Investigation Alexander Udovichenko after the investigation was made public Golden apartment for almost a million dollars: how the ‘aunt’ of the Deputy Director of the State Bureau of Investigation lives. The NAPC press service informed the author of the material about this on Wednesday, July 10.
The investigation indicates that Alexander Udovichenko lives in an apartment in one of the elite residential complexes in Kyiv – Regent Hill, while his declaration indicates only a rented apartment in the Goloseevsky district of the city.
The apartment on Regent Hill belongs to a close relative of Udovichenko’s beloved woman, Kristina Kopach, Irina Kopach.
The material suggests that this relative was probably the woman’s aunt.
Kopach bought an apartment with an area of 125 m² in October 2022 for 1.9 million hryvnias, which is significantly lower than the market value of such real estate in the specified residential complex.
Earlier, NAPC reported that in Ukraine the state registry of people who have committed corruption or corruption-related offenses may increase significantly.
In 2023, 2,420 people were included in the register of corrupt officials, which is almost three times less compared to pre-war 2021 (7 thousand). Most people are included in the registry because they have offered or promised improper benefits for actions or inactions with the government.
