New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Lacson announced at the NATO summit in Washington that he would provide Ukraine with aid worth 16 million New Zealand dollars, equivalent to 9.8 million dollars. This aid will include both military and humanitarian components. This was reported on Facebook by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand Vasyl Miroshnichenko.
New Zealanders will contribute $3.68 million in military aid, while another $6.12 million will go to humanitarian aid, Lacson said.
It is noted that military aid includes the allocation of $2.45 million for the “drone coalition” led by Great Britain and Latvia and $1.23 million for Ukraine’s military medical needs.
Recall that on July 7, the new British Defense Secretary John Gilli announced that a new package of military support for Ukraine, including Brimstone anti-tank missiles, small military boats, mine clearing vehicles, AS-90 artillery guns and a quarter of a million rounds of 50-caliber ammunition.
