Vasily Nebenzya, Russia’s UN representative, spoke before Kislitsa at the meeting, trying to convince those gathered that Ukraine was to blame for the attack on the children’s hospital. Nebenzya said Okhmatdyt was allegedly hit by a Ukrainian air defense missile.
Kislitsa noted that Russia is deliberately targeting the most vulnerable and defenseless category of the population.

According to the representative of Ukraine, the attack on the children’s hospital indicates the Kremlin’s reluctance to participate in the peace process, as well as Russia’s “deep contempt for any peace initiatives, regardless of their origins.”
