In the Khmelnitsky region, a man and a woman tortured a neighbor and tried to take him to the forest, considering him a witch. The press service of the regional prosecutor’s office reported this on Tuesday, July 9.
The prosecutor’s office announced suspicions against a 27-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman for torture, threats to kill, illegal deprivation of liberty and violation of inviolable housing.
The event took place on June 7 in the village. Chetyrboki, in Shepetivshchyna. The drunken suspects arrived at the house of a local, started knocking on the windows and broke down the door.
Under the false pretext that the victim was allegedly practicing witchcraft rituals, they beat the woman on the head with fists and feet, strangled her, threatened to kill her, and stabbed her several times.
The man ignored the woman’s pleas to stop the abuse and punched her in the face, causing her to lose consciousness. The attackers dragged him out and tried to put him in the trunk of a car to take him to the forest.
The victim was able to call the police when the suspects entered the house. The perpetrators were detained. The question of his choice of measures was decided.
