The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense signed a memorandum with the Finnish company ICEYE to deepen cooperation in the field of space reconnaissance. The press service of the department reported this on Tuesday, July 9.
ICEYE manufactures microsatellites and owns one of the largest constellations of radar satellites in the world.
The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in the field of remote sensing of the Earth, which is important for national security and defense.
As Deputy Defense Minister Ekaterina Chernorenko explained, the signing of the memorandum will significantly improve Ukraine’s intelligence activities.
“We must defend our country on the ground, in the air, at sea, in cyberspace and in space,” she added.
