The press service of Ukrenergo reported this today, July 8.
Thus, tomorrow, July 9, restrictions will be in effect for 24 hours for all regions of Ukraine. According to the forecast:
- from 05:00 to 14:00 – regional power companies will apply two stages of shutdown schedules;
- from 16:00 to 22:00 – four stages of shutdown schedules;
- at other times – three lines.
Previously, it was planned that from July 9 to 24, according to a certain schedule, restrictions would be lifted for each region on a specific day for two weeks in order to measure actual consumption in each region for a more accurate forecast of the operating mode of the country’s power system.
The reason for the cancellation is a significant capacity deficit in the energy system and increased consumption due to heat, Ukrenergo notes. – In response to numerous requests from regional power companies, Ukrenergo cancels measurements during the specified period. Under such conditions, regional power companies will not be able to comply with the principle of uniformity of consumption restrictions when conducting measurements in a specific region.
So, the regime measurements in the summer period will be carried out later – when the situation in the energy system is resolved and the air temperature drops.
