“Following the UK’s announcement of an additional 35% duty on imports of Russian copper, lead, primary aluminum and aluminum alloy, this announcement announces the immediate suspension of the list of grades of metals listed in Appendix 1 in warehouses registered with the LME in the UK, unless the warehouse can verify that the date of export from Russia is before March 25, 2022, ”the LME said in a statement.

It was noted that the ban was introduced on copper of Norilsk Nickel and Uralelectromed, Rusal aluminum produced in Krasnoyarsk, Bratsk, Sayanogorsk, Novokuznetsk and Volgograd, as well as on the plants of Kandalaksha and Boguchansky, aluminum alloy of SEAL and K, Permtsvetmet and Rusal’s Bratsk aluminum plant, as well as lead, produced by Fregat.
