In total, about 20 people were killed and about 50 were injured as a result of Russia’s morning attack on Ukraine. Preliminary, the total number of dead in Kyiv is eight people, another 25 are injured. This was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko and the State Emergency Service on Telegram.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said there were people under the rubble of a hospital in Kyiv. The exact number of wounded and dead is currently unknown.
Okhmatdet patients are being evacuated to municipal hospitals in the city. Debris is being cleared and victims are being sought at the site.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported that a residential building was hit in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The entrances were damaged, one of which was completely destroyed. Residents are currently being evacuated.
The Office of the Prosecutor General reported that under the procedural leadership of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated into criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder – Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Let us recall that as a result of the Russian missile strike on Kyiv on July 8, the children’s hospital “Okhmatdet” was damaged. Preliminary information is that the toxicology department was damaged. There are children among the wounded.
