The Left wins the French elections – exit poll

No party in parliament has previously received an absolute majority of 289 seats.

Left coalition New Popular Front leading the second round of parliamentary elections in France, receiving from 172 to 192 seats. This is confirmed by preliminary calculations by the Ipsos Institute with the Talan group, reports Le Monde on Sunday, July 7.

Call of the Presidential bloc together can get from 150 to 170 places. Ultra-right National Association and its allies receive between 132 and 152 seats. The Republican Party receives between 57 and 67 seats.

If the final results are indeed within these limits, no party in parliament will receive an absolute majority of 289 seats.

Let’s recall that in the first round of early parliamentary elections in France, which took place on June 30, the far right won. National Association. The far-right party and its allies are ahead of the New Popular Front and Emmanuel Macron’s political force.

In the first round, 76 representatives were elected, for a total of 577 seats in the National Assembly now the rest are being elected.
