Armenian-American military exercises will soon take place on the territory of Armenia. The Armenian Ministry of Defense reported this on Saturday, July 6.
“In preparation for participation in international peacekeeping missions, the joint Armenian-American exercises EaglePartner2024 will be held in Armenia from July 15 to 24. Military personnel from the peacekeeping brigade of the Armed Forces of Armenia and the US ground forces in Europe and Africa will participate. in exercises,” the statement said.
It is indicated that the exercise involves conducting operations to stabilize relations between opposing parties while carrying out peacekeeping tasks. And their goal is to increase the level of coordination of units participating in international peacekeeping missions, exchange best practices in the field of management and tactical communication, as well as increase the combat effectiveness of the unit of Armenians.
“In preparation for peacekeeping missions, units preparing for international peacekeeping operations regularly participate in similar joint military exercises and training with partner countries,” Yerevan added.
It was previously known that Armenia would leave the CSTO. According to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, some members of the CSTO did not fulfill the obligations of the agreement and “planned a war against us together with Azerbaijan.”
