Ankara has made a proposal to create a “peace platform”, despite the fact that it has already participated in the Peace Summit.
Turkey believes that a “peace platform” with the broad participation of countries can end the war started by Russia against Ukraine. This is what Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said, haber7.com reports.
He made this statement at an informal meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States.
He said that peace efforts “must be spread on a wider basis to end war.”
“It is necessary to create a platform for peace that will prevent the deepening of polarization, have high-quality participation and representation and give priority to diplomacy,” the Turkish official said.
Let’s recall that Ukraine has already initiated a global platform and hosted the first Peace Summit in Switzerland in mid-June.
The final communiqué was supported by more than 80 countries. Turkey is also among the signatories.
