Yulia Shevchuk has been temporarily appointed as the Chairman of the State Film Agency. This was reported by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk on July 5 in Telegram.
Kuderchuk took over Goskino in 2020. However, filmmakers considered her appointment to this post “opaque and scandalous.” Filmmakers of the same year stated that “random” projects won funding in the competition for state support of films.
She was also accused of “destroying the system of state regulation of the industry,” “discrediting the position of a civil servant,” and “causing damage to Ukrainian society and Ukraine’s image in the world.”
Let us recall that Dmytro Verbitsky was dismissed from the post of Deputy Prosecutor General. The scandalous official wrote a letter of resignation. Verbitsky became generally known after journalists reported that his girlfriend Kristina Ilnitskaya, with a modest income, in a year became the owner of an elite estate worth 48 million UAH in Kyiv, a beauty salon and a Porsche worth 100 thousand dollars.
