The accident occurred on the night of July 5, when the Mi-28 was probably intercepting a strike drone. The helicopter was forced to make an “emergency landing” after colliding with the UAV. As a result, it lost its tail section. The incident was reported by Russian propaganda media.
It is noted that the aircraft landed near one of the settlements in the Azov region. After the “forced landing” a fire broke out, but propagandists claim that “the grass started to burn due to the high temperature of the engines.” It is noted that the fire spread to an area of 500 square meters. It has already been localized.
The Russian helicopter is currently parked in a field, awaiting evacuation. The Russians believe they can still restore it.
Let us recall that on June 21, while repelling an attack by Ukrainian sea and air drones, Russian air defense shot down its own K-29 helicopter in the Anapa region of Krasnodar Krai.
