The head of the country’s Ministry of Defense states that these costs will increase by at least 10% compared to this year.
Poland will increase its defense spending by 10% from 2025. This is what the country’s Minister of National Defense Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh told the RAR news agency.
“According to our plans, defense spending will increase by at least 10% compared to this year’s budget. This is part of a long-term national security strategy aimed at strengthening our armed forces against the current threats of geopolitical,” the Polish official said.
The state budget for 2024, approved by Polish President Andrzej Duda, provides for defense spending in the amount of 118 billion zlotys ($29.4 billion equivalent), which is 3.1% of GDP.
