This issue is currently being discussed with volunteers. The financial regulator wants the policy on this issue to be as clear as possible. The head of the National Bank, Andriy Pyshny, said this during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada’s financial committee.
We are currently in the discussion phase of this issue with volunteers. We want the policy that the NBU is implementing in this difficult issue from the point of view of public perception to be as clear as possible and accepted by those who are currently experiencing some anxiety about this decision, he noted.
Pyshny emphasized that bankers are currently in the second iteration of discussions with the volunteer community. The head of the National Bank assured that they are “steadfast in their intention to find a solution to this difficult but dangerous problem.”
Let us recall that on May 3, the National Bank of Ukraine prohibited banks and non-bank financial institutions from accepting goods that could be used for military purposes as collateral from individuals – unmanned aerial vehicles, night vision devices, thermal imagers, etc.
