From 13.00 to 23.00, 3 stages of shutdowns will be in effect. This was reported by the press service of “Ukrenergo”.
A queue is a group of households and businesses consuming a certain number of megawatts. Each area’s consumption is divided into six queues.
The number of queues to be moved in all regions at the same time is determined by the Ukrenergo Dispatch Center to compensate for the energy deficit in the system. The duration of the queue, which queue to disconnect right now, is determined by the regional power companies in each region, the company notes.
The reasons for the power outages, in addition to the consequences of Russian missile strikes, are the summer heat – today there are high air temperatures in the central, southern and eastern regions
During the day, a total volume of 35,212 MWh will be imported from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Moldova, with a maximum capacity of up to 1,660 MW at certain hours.
This is 1,000 MWh more than was imported yesterday, July 3, Ukrenergo notes.
Export does not occur and is not envisaged.
By morning, 494 populated areas remained without power. Of these:
- Due to military action, there are new power outages in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions;
- due to bad weather, consumers in Ternopil, Khmelnitsky, and Chernivtsi regions were without power;
- for technical reasons – consumers in Zaporizhia, Zhitomir, and Rivne regions were de-energized. The technical reasons for the shutdown are related to the effect of heat on high-voltage equipment and power lines.
