The incident happened on the night of July 3. MP and party member Renaissance President Emmanuel Macron was putting up election posters in his Hauts-de-Seine constituency when he was attacked by a group of people.

“Tonight, candidate Prisca Thévenot and members of her campaign team were attacked by four men in Meudon while they were putting up campaign posters. Violence and intimidation have no place in our democracy. They have no place in our Republic,” said the French Prime Minister. Gabriel Attal.
