This was reported by the publication “Censor.net” with reference to the witness interrogation protocol, which is at the disposal of the publication.
It is noted that the witness, serving a sentence under Article 111 (state representative), claims that he was an intermediary between Derkach and the GRU. According to him, he traveled to Russia to prepare meetings between Derkach and the GRU leadership.
On November 20, 2019, Derkach and Dubinsky held a press conference entitled “New facts about international corruption, Burisma, and the scheme to bring Ukraine to bankruptcy.”
The witness stated that:
- Several weeks before this, Dubinsky visited St. Petersburg, where he met with curators from the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. According to the witness, Derkach himself told him that Dubinsky’s call sign was “Buratino”;
- press conferences held by Derkach, Dubinsky and former prosecutor Konstantin Kulik were conducted with the aim of discrediting the Ukrainian government and Joe Biden as a candidate for US President;
- between 2019 and 2022, he transferred between $10 and $15 million to Derkach for cooperation with the Russian GRU. In his opinion, Derkach also transferred these funds to Dubinsky and Kulik.
Dubinsky has already responded to this news on his Facebook page, publishing a corresponding video message.
This interrogation is a shot in the foot for the investigation itself, since it clearly shows that the “witness” cannot give any testimony, because he is giving testimony based on someone else’s words, Dubinsky said.
But the most important thing is that the text of the interrogation refutes the accusations, because it was cobbled together out of nothing, he is convinced. – And the investigators of the Main Investigative Directorate of the State Bureau of Investigation and the Security Service of Ukraine are facing a new Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations for disclosing pre-trial investigation materials.
