Ursula von der Leyen believes that the current situation in the world “is worth discussing with each other.”
The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said she opposed the idea of boycotting the G20 summit due to the fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin would participate in it. He said this in an interview on ZDF TV channel.
“We need to think carefully about non-paralysis throughout the G20. I don’t support that,” von der Leyen said.
According to him, “The G20 is very important, even for developing countries, emerging markets.”
Also, the head of the European Commission believes that the current situation in the world “is worth discussing with each other.”
CNN previously reported that Biden and his advisers were discussing how to represent the U.S. at this summit after the U.S. president called for not including Russia in the G20. The problem is that if the Americans don’t go to Jakarta, they will “let” Russia and China. That is, there is a choice – to sit at the same table with Putin or, in fact, “self -exclude” from the G20.
The G20 Heads of State Summit is scheduled for November 15-16 in Bali. The leaders of all the countries participating in the G20 are invited here, including Putin. The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was also invited to the summit. So, Zelensky and Putin could meet at the G20 summit
