Following meetings with Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Head of the Chancellery of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Energy Minister with Prime Minister German Galushchenko, US Presidential National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan
Yermak first wrote on his social networks that “there will be more weapons,” and then clarified that Stefanishyna outlined Ukraine’s main expectations from the results of the NATO Summit in Washington and noted the importance of decisions that will contribute to the development of defense capabilities.
Defense Minister Umerov noted that we need to strengthen and increase the number of air defense batteries, missiles for them. We discussed the upcoming deliveries of air defense systems to Ukraine.
Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko informed the audience about the consequences of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure and Ukraine’s needs in this area. Special attention was paid to the support of Ukraine’s energy security by the United States.
On July 2, Lloyd Austin, after meeting with Ukrainian officials, announced the provision of $2.3 billion in military aid to Ukraine.
He said the United States would soon announce $2.3 billion in additional security assistance to Ukraine, which would include anti-tank weapons, interceptors and munitions for Patriot air defenses and other air defense systems.

Recall that NATO has agreed to provide Ukraine with €40 billion in aid next year. Reuters writes that NATO leaders will sign this commitment next week during the summit in Washington. The summit will take place on July 9-11.
