He also stated that heavy MLRS Polonez and OTRK Iskander have been deployed to their positions.
Earlier, Lukashenko said that they want to drag Belarus into the showdown in order to prove the escalation in the region to such an extent that “the world will tremble” on June 30.
Belarus may use nuclear weapons in the event of a threat to its sovereignty, – this was the statement of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus Pavel Muraveiko.
One of the last arguments and theses, acting as a deterrent factor, is the return of non-strategic nuclear weapons to the territory of our country. We have learned to handle these weapons. We know how to use them confidently. We are capable of doing this. And we will do this if the sovereignty and independence of our country are threatened, – Muraveiko said.
Meanwhile, the mayor of the Lithuanian capital, Valdas Benkunskas, presented a comprehensive plan for the city’s defense in the event of an invasion, which includes purchasing so-called “dragon’s teeth” and training drone pilots.
He stressed the importance of these measures, noting that Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania, and therefore target number one. He also explained that the geographical location of Vilnius, namely its proximity to Belarus, poses particular threats.
