Representatives of the Russian embassy in Vilnius have already received a note of protest. The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry requested that the responsible Russian institutions provide explanations as soon as possible.
Russian authorities and airline representatives did not comment on the incident.
Earlier, a Russian military aircraft violated Finnish airspace, the first such incident since the country joined NATO.
The Russian Federation is suspected of jamming the satellite signal of the plane on which British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps was returning from Poland.
