The SBU neutralized an agent group of the enemy special service operating in the regional center. The enemy cell included two soldiers and their accomplice. For conspiracy, the enemy agents used taxi services, and their accomplice disguised her appearance by constantly changing wigs. This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
It turned out that the attacker, on instructions from the enemy, was reconnoitering the locations of air defense systems defending Odessa. The agents systematically drove around the regional center and its surrounding areas. In the event of finding the necessary objects, they secretly photographed them and marked the corresponding geolocations on Google maps.
In addition, the invaders gave the agents the task of installing hidden cameras on the territory of the Odessa seaport.
Two of the perpetrators were detained while taking photographs of a military facility. A local resident was detained in her apartment after she conducted additional reconnaissance near a potential target.
The defendants were informed of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 111 (treason committed by an organized group under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face life imprisonment.
Let us recall that on June 24, the SBU announced the exposure of an FSB “mole” who was collecting information about the Defense Forces on the northern borders of Volyn. The attacker also tried to transmit the coordinates of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ weapons and ammunition depots in the region.
